A sputtery drum beat. The bass is from freesound, the snare is from a small chop of my fist hitting an oil drum, and the small breath that acts as percussion is from a children's toy. Using an inflated toy balloon in a bath full of water to create some interesting sounds. The balloon hitting the top of the water almost sounds like a drum, and my fingers on the wet rubber could be useful in a cartoony squash and stretch capacity. Recorded on a tascam dr-05.

This is the sound of someone shaking a kinder surprise egg trying to guess what's inside (like in the tv advert). This is a simple sound that i recorded with a zoom h2n handy recorder. I just cut the extra recording parts, and added a noise reduction effect to clean it in audacity.

I have an old toy called a zube tube which is a cardboard tube with a plastic cup in each end and a long spring stretched between the cups. When you shake the tube it makes the weirdest sounds! in this recording i am holding and shaking the tube vertically. You can hear the spring oscillating.

These samples come from a gakken sx-150, a small analogue synthesizer kit that was released in japan 2008 as part of the gakken hobby magazine series. The synth became very popular also outside of japan, mainly because it's a low-cost analogue synth with a great sound that offers lots of possibilities for circuit benders.

A czech guy named "staney the robot man" who lives in prague build this little synth. It's completely handmade and consists of a bunch of analog circuitry that when powered creates strange oscillations in current. It's also built into a seseame street toy saxophone. This set sounds like a robot talking. If chopped up and sequenced you could do a lot with it.
